--Volunteer for a "homemade" side dish -- check with Matt
--Volunteer to help set up or clean up --sign up for the helper list
--A chair
--your favorite beer or other beverage
--A hat, but there will be shade!
--Cameras for cool pictures
--pipes & tobacco to sell or trade


   The Summer BBQ picnic is always the absolute highlight of a pipe smoking summer.  FREE for all dues paid members and their guests!  The SPC Summer BBQ Picnic will be held once again at Matt Guss's home in Lakewood.  The event will be catered by the club members ourselves, FEATURING the delectable culinary talents of brother Craig Watness.  Craig will be using the Watness Family recipe for his world famous Pulled Pork.  Pork?  Of course. Some hot dogs ready to be grilled to perfection!  Yummy?  You betcha.  
 
WHAT HOMEMADE SIDE CAN YOU BRING?  Glad you asked.  We need volunteer cooks for:
  1.  cole slaw
  2. another side dish like collard greens!

 WE ALSO NEED FOLKS TO SET UP, CLEAN UP AND TEAR DOWN!

FREE for all SPC members!  The Seattle Pipe Club is hosting a pipe smoke and BBQ on Saturday, August 6th. The event will be starting at 12 noon.  A delicious BBQ feast will be served up to the hungry & thirsty. If people wish beer, wine etc be sure to BRING YOUR OWN.  Of course, it wouldn't hurt for you to bring extra beverages for your thirsty brothers & sisters!  There is no charge to members for this event.  Not a member?  Sign up and pay yer dues!  But please RSVP!!
 
Games?  Croquet...that very English tradition of tapping wooden balls thru wickets whilst smoking one's pipe.  And if, by chance, you contact another player's ball...send it to hell!   Its a Croquet game like no other.  Win the adulation of your peers.  Or lose their respect forever.  
 
We had a great turn out last year.  Also we would like to extend a sunny invitation to the Vancouver Pipe Club members to attend this year.  Everyone may bring pipes and other smoking items to trade, sell or show.
