If there is one season that is ideal for pipe smoking it has to be Fall, right?  That cool night air, a bit of rain and the smell of autumn leaves.  There is nothing better than enjoying a fine pipe at this time of year.  The only thing better is enjoying two pipes!  So before the insanity of the Holidays be sure to come to pipe club this month. Join us this month and celebrate the changing of the seasons.  

In honor of our incredible 25th Anniversary all dues paid members will receive a special commemorative gift at the pipe club meetings.  You have to be there to get it.  What you may ask?  It's a luxurious custom made pipe cleaner sleeve made from cork and emblazoned with the Club logo.  Unavailable for anyone other than our esteemed members.  Made by hand from our own fabric artisan Lennea Wolfe.  Come to the meeting and get yours.  

Come join the warm embrace of your Seattle Pipe Club family for a few hours of pipes, tobacco, fellowship and cheer.   We've been overflowing with new folks and we love it.  The Club is growing again.  Bring a friend this month and share the love & pipe smoke!

Join our monthly meeting where we talk pipes, smoke them, argue about tobacco and all the finer things in life.  Imbibe an adult beverage and a good meal while you're at it.  Be sure to show up and relax with your friends & pipe -- there's nothing quite like it.

The tobacco:  Coyote - A Joe Lankford Mystery Blend

Coyote is a blend created by our late member and master blender, Joe Lankford. This is one of his private "mystery blends." Even Joe didn't know what was in it. The blend is a rich balkan that has aged over 20 years.

The pipe:  BriarWorks Apple

The 2026 Contest pipes are on the way.  BriarWorks has once again provided us with pipes for our contest.  We keep choosing BriarWorks for their great quality, consistancy, and value.  This year's pipes are feature an apple bowl with a saddle acrylic bit.
More photos of the pipes will be displayed once we have received the pipes.

Contest registration will begin on September 30th.
Save the date, as last year's contest filled up in just two days.  
We will have a waiting list, in case there are any cancellations.

SPC 25th Anniversary BBQ/Picnic...

The 25th Anniversary Seattle Pipe Club BBQ picnic was held on August 16th.  Always the highlight of our pipe-smoking summer.  The SPC Summer BBQ Picnic was held at the home of Tom & Lennea Wolfe in Fircrest.  It's a picnic so that means we all brought some of the food!

SPC 2026 25th Anniversary Pipe... CLOSED!

We celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our dear Seattle Pipe Club with a very special pipe available exclusively to our members. Chairman Rick Willoughby carefully selected a wonderful American pipe maker whose skill, quality and imagination matched what the Chairman was looking for. The pipe maker is Dustin Franc and the pipe is as special as our Anniversary. Check out the 25th Anniversary Pipe and order yours today. SPC 2026 25th Anniversary Pipe of the Year - 4/26/2026

24th Annual Slow Smoke Contest Results
November 12th, 2025  7-9 pm

To the Slowest Goes the Victory! 

Once again, the Seattle Pipe Club sponsored the UPCA Nortwest Regional Pipe Smoking Contest.  

Last year, we had a packed house with 15 contestants vying for the title of regional champ. Some were old-timers that had been participating for over 20 years.  Others were new to pipe smoking, but was willing to give it a try.

Everyone made it past the 20-minute mark, which is an achievement in itself.  Everyone walked home with their own Kaywoodie Berkshire pipe and a prize.  As was traditional, the first person to go out won 1,000 matches to practice with.

The winner of the contest was Rick Willoughby, with a time of 50 minutes and 17 seconds. Rick walked away with a trophy, first pick of donated prizes, and $250 for airfare to the 2026 UPCA National Pipe Smoking Contest in Chicago.
