(Slow Smoke Contest Meeting November 2021)

 The UMPTEENTH Annual SPC Club Picnic
is coming Saturday August 24th! BBQ Chicken, Ribs, grilled Corn-on-the-Cob slathered in butter and lots of delicious homemade sides brought by you! Pipe smoking, eating, drinking and a lovely afternoon at the park-like setting of the Guss home in Lakewood. Free for all dues paid members and their guest.

Summer Nights!  There's lots of ways to celebrate Summer but none better than Pipe Club.  It's hot outside but cool and comfy in Smokey Joe's as we get together as we always do for our Seattle Pipe Club meetings.  We had a big crowd last month and it looks like the Club is growing again.  Bring a friend this month and share the love & pipe smoke!

So come to our monthly meeting where we talk pipes, smoke them, argue about tobacco and all the finer things in life.  Imbibe a frosty adult beverage and a good meal while you're at it.  Be sure to show up and relax with your friends & pipe -- there's nothing quite like it.  

 
2023 SLOW SMOKE CHAMPION MIKE BERGSTROM! 

Chairman George Bieda presented the 2023 Slow Smoke Trophy to Mike Bergstrom.  With a winning time of over 55  minutes Mike secured his championship for an unprecedented 3rd year in a row as the slowest smoker!  All 12 contestants were fiercely competitive in this hallowed event.  The Top 5 winners will be Immortalized on the world-famous SPC Perpetual Trophy. 

   

Special Event - Pipe Restoration Workshop

The first one was so much fun, we're doing it again!

July 13th 1-5 pm

Due to popular demand, Tom Wolfe will again be hosting a demonstration and workshop on restoring briar pipes at his home in Fircrest, WA.

The demo will include basic cleaning and reaming, as well as advanced techniques such as buffing, hand polishing, and boiling alcohol treatment. After the demo, participants can then work on their own pipes in his shop.

We have boxes of briar pipes that have been donated to the club.  Each participant can pick a pipe to work on in the shop, so you don't have to risk your own pipe learning the techniques.  Better yet, you get to take that pipe home with you.
